
He is down-to-earth and treats everyone equally despite being born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
Unknown to many, Ogie's family used to own the Rural Bank of Taal in Batangas. "When my grandmother passed away a long time ago, it was passed on, and then my mom, who is now 91 and she's still strong, sabi niya hindi na niya kaya so we sold the bank."
How was it growing up while their family owned a bank? "Ako po ay laking Manila so 'pag sasabihin ng nanay ko, 'Ogie, let's go to Taal. Let's go to the province.' Sabi ko, 'Mommy, it's too far.'
Bibigyan niya ako ng pera. Tapos pupunta na ako.
"Ang alam namin negosyo iyon ng lolo't lola ko at ipinamana na rin sa amin. Ang tatay ko actually nagbukas din ng bangko sa Nasugbu. Iyong Batangas Savings. Siya rin po ang nagsimula noon," Ogie shared.
