The 32-year-old singer, who is part of Michael Bublé's team, emerged victorious after garnering the most votes. He took home the grand prize of $100,000 (or nearly six million pesos) and a recording contract.
In a brief message before the final announcement yesterday, the former "Tawag ng Tanghalan" alum expressed gratitude to his hitmaking coach.
"It's so weird to say Michael, I call you Sir. Your mentorship is a blessing to me, to my family and to all the dreamers out there. You open the doors for everyone. Thank you so much," he said.
A visibly touched Bublé responded, "Well, my Filipino brother, you are the hope of so many people. Not just in the Philippines, but Asians everywhere truly are looking at you tonight. So proud. You represent them so well, and it's such an unbelievable journey to be here with you."
Sofronio's win wasn't only celebrated online, but it also resonated deeply with Filipino artists, including OPM icons Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano and Pops Fernandez, who shared their pride and admiration for his achievement.
"I've never had a chance to hear him sing, but he's all over my feed. Siyempre, sobrang proud di ba? Finally, napapansin talaga ang mga Pilipino for all our talents - whether it's singing, sports, or beauty. Nakaka-happy talaga," Pops told The STAR during a presscon for her "Always and Forever" reunion concert with ex-husband Martin Nievera in February 2025.
She added, "Dati kasi it's just a dream to make it international- " ally, to be noticed in the US or anywhere else in the world. But now, it’s happening.”
