Two days after the violent clashes and arson during a bike rally by members of the Hanuman Jayanti Samanway Samiti here, the devotees accompanied by BJP leaders took out a procession celebrating Hanuman Jayanti here on Friday.
Given the tension in the area, the district administration had clamped prohibitory orders under Sec 144 and suspended internet services.
Thirty-six persons have been arrested in connection with the violence on Wednesday, said the police.
Today's procession started from different localities and converged at the Briokshill Hanuman Temple near Jilla School junction where the 'maha aarti was performed.
