Observing that digital solutions hold the capacity to revolutionise the health care delivery systems, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya today declared that India was aiming to launch a global initiative on digital health as an institutional framework, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The objective of the framework was to converge the global efforts for digital health and scale up digital solutions by using cutting-edge technologies, he said virtually addressing the “Global Conference on Digital Health – Taking Universal Health Coverage to the Last Citizen” a cobranded event under India’s G20 Presidency organised by the WHO and the Health Ministry.
''It is time to move from ‘Silos to Systems’ with the collaboration of all countries for enhanced coverage and quality of healthcare services,” Mandaviya said.
