Roads dugup by KMDA contractors and left for months helping spread dengue in urban areas

The district administration and the local administration are taking every step to spread awareness about dengue and control the spread of dengue.

However one major source of the threat of spread of dengue comes from dug-up roads which have not been repaired for months.

The dug-out up sections of the roads become repositories of stagnant water creating a favourable breeding ground for dengue mosquitos.

The civic bodies have expressed their resentment over the irresponsible working of the KMDA contractors who have been entrusted with the work to lay the underground drinking water pipe line and then repair the roads to its previous state.
