Indian Army troops of the Striking Lion Division, Trishakti Corps, and personnel of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) sprung into action and worked overnight in heavy rains and inclement weather to create a temporary crossing over a broken bridge to facilitate rescue of tourists. The tourists were extended help to cross over the river in Chungthang and were provided with hot meals, tentage and medical support, the Army said today.
