Maresca faces 'nice problem' after Nkunku's hat-trick
The Straits Times|September 26, 2024
Christopher Nkunku scored a hat-trick to give his manager "a nice problem" as Chelsea thrashed fourth-tier Barrow 5-0 to reach the last 16 of the League Cup on Sept 24.
Maresca faces 'nice problem' after Nkunku's hat-trick

Nkunku now has six goals in eight appearances this season, but the Frenchman has still been unable to nail down a regular place in the side.

Key to that is the form of Nicolas Jackson, who has four goals and two assists, having started all five of Chelsea's English Premier League matches this campaign.

Said Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca: "They're both doing fantastic. Not only because they score, but because they work off the ball. The way they sacrifice for the team. This is very important for them.

"This is a nice problem when you have two strikers that continue to score. It's nice you can decide which one and because they are in a good moment we can use them."
