Shares of DBS Bank, OCBC Bank and UOB hit record highs this week, fuelled by high interest rates and investor expectations that the trio racked up strong earnings in the fourth quarter of 2024, said analysts.
DBS stocks closed at $45.44 on Jan 8, bringing its gains over the past 12 months to around 52 per cent.
It was a similar story at OCBC, whose shares hit $17.55 on Jan 8, up by 37 per cent, while UOB surged to $37.80, ahead 33 per cent since this point in 2024.
