NEW DELHI In a landmark judgment, a Faridabad court has sentenced a woman, Pooja, and her lover, Ajay, to life imprisonment for the brutal 2018 murder of her husband and father-in-law.

The verdict was delivered by Additional Sessions Judge Amrit Singh Chalia, who also imposed fines of Rs18,000 on Pooja and Rs15,000 on Ajay.

The crime took place on May 29, 2018, when Pooja and Ajay killed Vinod Kumar (25) and his father Siyaram (65) at their home in Faridabad. Originally from Noorpur village in Bareilly district, Vinod had relocated to Faridabad with his wife to live with his father.
