AROUND 25 tourists have been struck down by a food poisoning outbreak at a five-star resort in Turkey.
At least one of the British holidaymakers on all-inclusive deals with holiday firm TUI has been hospitalised.
Families forked out up to &pound;4,000 for breaks at the Rixos Sungate hotel in the Mediterranean, which has 13 bars and restaurants including a 'world food' buffet and sushi diner.
One holidaymaker said there were "more than 10 families suffering" and "numbers are growing by the day".
Kate Dowling tweeted: "My family are in Rixos Sungate three out of five have food poisoning with one hospitalised. Staff are not doing anything to help, denying all knowledge even though other guests have complained."
The 1,076-room resort is in Kemer on Turkey's southern coast. It also has a water park and 12 swimming pools.
German firm TUI describes it as a "platinum" venue that is "tailored for families". The&nbsp;resort has a 4.5 out of five-star ranking on Tripadvisor.
Last May, TUI paid out &pound;232,000 to eight Brits who suffered food poisoning at a resort in Lanzarote. TUI said yesterday: "We are concerned&nbsp;to hear of a small number of cases at Rixos Sungate. Our team at the resort are offering support where necessary.
Rixos Hotels owner Accor was contacted for comment.
