THE body of a missing woman has been found in the boot of a car.Met Police officers made the grisly discovery in Ilford, East London, on Thursday night.They were responding to earlier reports from Northamptonshire Police raising concerns about a 24-year-old female from Corby more than 90 miles from where the body was found. Police had been called to the town's Lincoln Estate after fears for the woman's welfare emerged on Wednesday.Northamptonshire Police Supt Steve Freeman said: "Fasttrack inquiries were made, which led to the discovery of a woman's body inside the boot of a vehicle. A murder investigation has been launched." An unnamed suspect is said to be at large. The area where the body was found, near a park, remains cordoned off as enquiries continue.An East Midlands Special Operations Unit is working on the case with the Met. It is believed the incident is a domestic crime.Locals in Corby said the house police visited had been used for multiple occupancy and had up to 12 people living in it. One neighbour said she believed that the house had Bulgarian, Moldovan and Portuguese residents.
