Amid all the pomp and ceremony, Prince Louis cheekily stuck out his tongue as he rode in a carriage with siblings George and Charlotte.

Their mum Kate, the Princess of Wales, and Queen Camilla were on board but did not notice.

George, nine, was next to catch the eye when he squinted and stifled a yawn on the balcony as 70 planes filled the sky for a flypast.

Louis, five, was thrilled and thrust out his arms as if celebrating a goal. And he covered his ears as jets roared over - and gave a salute of his own. Eight-year-old Charlotte's smiles matched by those of Kate, Camilla, and Charles summed up a joyous mood as the first official birthday of the King's reign was celebrated in style.
