Staff shortages endanger patients say 80% of nurses

NURSES say low staffing levels are risking patients’ health, as union bosses call on the Government to stop the strike.

Eight out of ten nurses told a poll they feared patients were less safe on their most recent shift due to inadequate staffing.

One distraught A&E senior nurse told the Royal College of Nursing survey: “I wouldn’t want my family cared for here.”
