7 years on, AstroSat has fuelled over 275 papers

AstroSat, India's first dedicated multi-wavelength observatory mission that completed seven years in orbit this September has fuelled more than 275 research articles while 20 theses came out of its data.

According to V Girish, deputy director, ISRO science programme office, AstroSat data has also resulted in more than 700 conference proceedings, astronomer's telegram and other non-refereed publications.

AstroSat, which launched into a low earth orbit of 650km on September 28, 2015 from Sriharikota using the PSLV C-30 launch vehicle, has five scientific payloads providing world-class science data serving more than 2000 users from 54 countries.
