<p id="2"><strong>Hyderabad:&nbsp;</strong>Terming the victory in Munugode as a slap in the face of &lsquo;Delhi bosses&rsquo; of BJP, TRS working president KT Rama Rao said the people have not only protected the self-respect of Munugode but also the self-respect of Telangana. He said people preferred development and self-respect over money and abuse of power.</p>
<p id="3">&ldquo;There are no murders in politics, only suicides happen. The Munugode by-election has proved it again. The BJP bosses forced the election on the people of Munugode with their money power and arrogance. Though it was K Raj Gopal Reddy who contested the polls, Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi and (Union minister) Amit Shah were behind the conspiracy of holding the bypoll which turned out to be suicidal,&rdquo; KTR said at a press conference at Telangana Bhavan after the Munugode results were announced.</p>
<p>While thanking hundreds of TRS leaders, thousands of party workers, social media warriors and communist leaders for their crucial role in ensuring the win, he said with Munugode victory, all the 12 assembly seats in the erstwhile Nalgonda district were in TRS&rsquo;s kitty. He recalled that Huzurnagar and Nagarjuna Sagar bypolls too had gone in favour of TRS.</p>

<p id="2">KTR pointed out that party candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy secured 9% votes more now. &ldquo;In 2018, we got 39% vote share and now our vote share is 43%. We would have got a stellar majority had there been no identical symbols,&rdquo; he said.</p>
<p>Charging BJP with spending more than Rs 100 crore in Munugode, he said state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay&rsquo;s associate was caught with Rs 1 crore, BJP MLA Eatala Rajender&rsquo;s aide was caught with Rs 90 lakh, while Raj Gopal&rsquo;s firm had illegally transferred money to voters&rsquo; accounts. &ldquo;You have never heard such a huge expenditure in previous bypolls in the state. This trend started with Huzurabad and now, Munugode. The reason for this is that both BJP candidates Eatala and Raj Gopal are very rich and pumped huge money. Despite this, people taught Raj Gopal a lesson,&rdquo; KTR said.</p>

<p id="2">Accusing the BJP of misusing the power, KTR said 15 platoons of paramilitary forces and 40 income tax teams were deployed by the Centre. He also cited how the BJP succeeded in influencing the ECI on symbols, spreading fake news on TRS leaders and attacking the leaders in Palivela village a day before the polling. He said the ECI had remained a mute spectator.</p>
