
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will take its first step towards ming a national party on Wednesday, 21 years after it was launched to demand a separate state.
TRS supremo and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) at exactly 1.19 pm after party state executive members and other elected representatives pass a resolution to merge TRS in the new party. The resolution would be sent to the Election Commission either on Thursday or Friday.
JD (S) leader and former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy along with 20 of his MLAs will attend the launch event at the TRS headquarters. HDK arrived in Hyderabad on a private jet late on Tuesday evening and was received by TRS working president KT Rama Rao.
