Hyderabad: While political parties cried foul over the delay in announcing the results, chief electoral officer Vikas Raj attributed it to the presenceo of large number of candidates.
Vikas Raj said there was a delay of 20 minutes from the fourth and fifth rounds. “As there were more number of candidates, there was some delay in counting. The results, round-wise, were released only after the returning officer affixed his signature,” he said.
