Hyderabad: Even as daily new cases of Covid-19 are on the rise in Telangana and no clarity on whether the circulating variants of Covid, including Omicron poses a threat, people have long given up on Covid precautions. Surprisingly, Covid suspects were also found to be ignoring the norms.
"Mask compliance in Hyderabad has hit the rock bottom. We are regularly seeing Covid suspects walking in without a mask at our testing centre. When asked why were they not wearing a mask, they casually reply that it is because no one else is wearing it," said an official from one of the government testing centres in city.
