Hyderabad: As the dust settles on Noida's demolished Supertech twin towers, it is Hyderabad-based waste management player Re Sustainability Ltd that will be recycling the rubble. The company will ensure that the waste finds new life in hundreds of homes, acres of new public parks as well as social amenities and infrastructure in an eco-friendly manner.
The 30,000 tonnes of rubble generated by the demolition earlier this week will be enough to convert into 18 million square feet of precast tiles, which would be able to cover nearly 300 football fields, a top official of Re Sustainability told TOI.
"The twin towers were demolished within 10 seconds, but the over 30,000 tonnes of rubble generated will be processed over a period of three months. We aim to achieve near 100% recycling and resource recovery from the twin tower waste," Masood Mallick, CEO, Re Sustainability said.
