#IamHyderabad, fulcrum of country's missile tech

The heart of India's defence is expanding.

Hyderabad, which is at the fulcrum of the country's defence research and manufacture is growing with major international aerospace and defence companies feeling at home in the congenial atmosphere and environment.

India's clutch of missiles get their power from the various laboratories of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in Hyderabad. Among the eight defence labs is the Dr APJ Kalam Missile Complex Centre, the Research Centre Imarat (RCI). As recently as on September 27, two successful flight tests were conducted of a Very Short Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS) #iamhyderabad missile from portable launcher at Odisha. VSHORADS was developed indigenously by DRDO's RCI.
