Hyderabad: Labour minister Ch Malla Reddy on Thursday alleged that the Centre is targeting and intimidating him as he is a minister in the TRS government.

He said TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had alerted him about raids by central agencies much before these searches. He said the BJP government hatched a plan to prevent KCR from going national with Bharat Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as it would pose a threat to the saffron party in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

“I am not scared of the income tax (I-T) searches as it is the third time the I-T sleuths conducted searches on my institutions. They (BJP government) cannot do anything to me or KCR now. Our strength and courage is KCR,” the minister said, addressing a press conference along with his son in-law Marri Rajasekhar Reddy on Thursday
