Hyderabad: In the midst of the controversial cash-for MLAs episode, shunting out of the returning officer and CM K Chandrasekhar Rao accusing BJP of trying to buy TRS MLAs, curtains for the over one-month-long campaign for the crucial Munugode assembly bypoll will be drawn on Tuesday.

Munugode poll campaign ends today, stakes high for 3 parties

The bypoll is being seen as a precursor to 2023 assembly elections with both TRS and BJP leaving no stone unturned to emerge victorious.

While the Election Commission has warned leaders — other than the contesting candidates — to leave the constituency once the campaign ends on Tuesday, TRS, BJP and Congress are making last-ditch efforts to woo voters. At least 2.41 lakh voters will decide the fortunes of three main players — BJP’s Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy, Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy of TRS and Palvai Sravanthi (Congress) — on November 3 when the voting will be held in 298 polling stations.

The result will be out on November 6.
