Tamilisai: Don't colour every activity of guv

Chennai:

In an interview to TOI, Tamilisai said every governor was a responsible person. “Don’t always view them with a biased outlook ... We know the significance of our post and discharge our duties accordingly,” she said. Tamilisai is widely speculated to return to ‘active’ politics and even contest in 2024 general elections.

On Tamil Nadu MPs submitting a memorandum to President Droupadi Murmu seeking recall of governor R N Ravi, Tamilisai said the Constitution guaranteed freedom of speech and expression to all its citizens and governor Ravi too had it. “There is a percentage of the population that believes in his views,” she said.

Tamilisai Soundararajan has never been one to mince words. Not when she was BJP’s Tamil Nadu president and especially not in the three years she has been governor of Telangana holding additional charge of Puducherry. In an exclusive interview with Julie Mariappan, Soundararajan talks about the governor-government face-off & her allegations that her phone was tapped by Telangana government
