The Anthampet Declaration: No Money, No Vote
Hyderabad: No money, no vote. That was the clear message that the 2,500-odd voters of Anthampet in Munugode sent out to contesting candidates of Thursday's by-polls. While as the rest of the constituency streamed on to the streets in large numbers, residents here sat in protest on the cement roads of their village, refusing to budge unless the netas who had 'cheated' them with claims, coughed up the moolah.
