Mumbai: Following an “overwhelming” increase in demand, Central Railway (CR) has decided to add 10 air-conditioned (AC) services on its Main line soon, taking the total number of daily services to 66.
CR’s chief public relations officer Shivaji Sutar said, “These 10 services are being added in place of existing non-AC services.”
At present, CR runs a total of 56 AC services, all on the Main line.
Of the 10 additional services, four each will run between CSMT and Thane and CSMT and Badlapur, and two between CSMT and Kalyan.
