Mangaluru: A low-intensity blast in an autorickshaw wounded the driver and a passenger in Mangaluru on Saturday evening is not "an accident but an act terror", Karnataka police said Sunday, while an NIA team landed in the coastal city to investigate terrorist ties to the explosion.
The passenger's identity is yet to be established because he had faked it, police sources said. But he is suspected to be H Mohammed Shariq, 24, of Thirthahalli town in Shivamogga, about 340km from Bengaluru. He was arrested before for writing terrorist graffiti like "Lashkar Zindabad". TNN
