Rahul attacks notebandi, GST and all things Modi

Nanded: Addressing his first public rally in the state as part of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi said here on Thursday that the Congress “walks the talk” and “the great leaders to whom homage is paid during public rallies have shown the way to the party”.

Gandhi took a dig at the Centre on the GST issue, saying it was like a water pump draining money from the pockets of farmers and small traders. He also said money was not available for infrastructure in schools as it was going into the hands of a few industrialists.

Gandhi delivered the speech on the 64th day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which saw the halfway mark of the 3,570km route being reached. Addressing a large gathering that culminated at Nava Mondha ground, Gandhi came down heavily on PM Narendra Modi and recalled the promises given by him at the time of demonetisation.
