Adelaide: Virat Kohli has reposted on his Instagram page a clandestinely filmed TikTok video of his hotel room in Perth and expressed concern over his total lack of privacy. The Indian team was recently in Perth for their game against South Africa on Sunday.
The security breach, it is understood, took place not in the lead-up to Sunday night’s game but on October 8, before the T20 World Cup started. The Indian team was at that time stationed in Perth for a preparatory camp.
This video here is appalling and it's made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I'm NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism... -Virat Kohli
The hotel, Crown Towers, on Monday issued an apology, saying that an investigation is being conducted with a third-party contractor and the individuals involved had been “stood down and removed from the Crown account”.
A video, titled “King Kohli’s hotel room” and filmed with a mobile phone camera, scans through cricketer Virat Kohli’s Perth hotel room and shows his gear, glasses, shoes, kit, parts of the kitchen, protein supplements and toiletries.
Adelaide: Terming clandestine filming of his hotel room appalling and absolute invasion of privacy, Virat Kohli took to Instagram against “this kind of fanaticism”.
