<p id="3">In a letter to the BMC chief engineer of bridges department from the office of the chief administrative officer of the Western Railway, it has stated that the demolition of Gokhale ROB at Andheri was discussed in a joint visit held on November 14 wherein it was agreed that the railway will demolish the railway portion, including both side abutment of the ROB.</p>
<p id="4">&ldquo;It was requested to the Western Railway to invite the tender at the earliest to carry out the work of demolition of the bridge in railway portion and costs will be borne by the BMC,&rdquo; stated the letter.</p>

<p id="2">Later during the site visit on November 14 also, the BMC gave a go-ahead to the railways to initiate the tender process and based on the same , the railways has prepared the tender and the same is under railway finance vetting. However the railway letter has stated that tender would be invited on urgent basis, once the funds are released.</p>

<p id="2">&ldquo;Therefore, it has been requested to release the above required fund of Rs 17,65,00,167 for the said work so that tender maybe invited on urgent basis,&rdquo; stated the letter.</p>
