
New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), which had placed the city under “yellow alert” on Saturday, warning of moderate to intense rain showers at isolated areas on Saturday, lifted the alert for Sunday.
According to the weather analysts, the weather system of a cyclonic circulation interacting with a western disturbance was keeping Delhi-NCR and major parts of northwest India flooded, will start weakening from Sunday night or Monday evening. The moisture-laden easterly winds will also start changing the direction from late Sunday night or Monday morning, officials at IMD said.
