Chandigarh: Convicts incarcerated in Haryana’s jails are not be deprived of parole or furlough on “mechanical orders” based on “apprehension of breach of peace”, the state has told concerned officials.
The Haryana government has asked the authorities, including deputy commissioners (DCs), division commissioners, the state police, and the prison department, to display a “humanistic” approach while deciding such applications.
