<p id="2"><strong>Mumbai:&nbsp;</strong>With both factions jostling for the mantle of the &lsquo;real&rsquo; Shiv Sena, the Dussehra rally, a time-honoured party tradition, assumes greater import. The BKC show will be the CM&rsquo;s first big public outing since taking over the administration. While Eknath Shinde has spoken at smaller gatherings over the last couple of months, this is the first time he will address a crowd of over a lakh. To establish himself as a seasoned Sainik wedded to the party&rsquo;s ideology and to counter the narrative of being the rebel who betrayed his mentors, there could not be a more dramatic setting.</p>
<p id="3">The Shinde faction is not sparing any effort to ensure a showstopper aimed at buttressing the party&rsquo;s support base ahead of civic elections; there will be no guest speakers from other parties like BJP or MNS. According to Shinde faction leaders, the CM will the main event; no invitations have been sent to allies including BJP leaders like Devendra Fadnavis and MNS chief Raj Thackeray.</p>

<p id="2">A member of the Shinde faction said they are keen to keep the focus on the CM and not allow attention to shift from him, the objective being to strengthen his image as a true inheritor of Sena founder Bal Thackeray's legacy. &ldquo;This is the Shiv Sena&rsquo;s Dussehra rally and CM Eknath Shinde is going to be the main speaker. This rally was started by Balasaheb Thackeray and we are taking forward his thoughts. So far, we have not extended an invitation to any other party leaders outside the Shiv Sena,&rdquo; said Kiran Pawaskar, spokesperson of the Shinde faction.</p>
<p id="3">Pawaskar said apart from Shinde,&nbsp;Sena leaders Ramdas Kadam, Dadar Bhuse and Anandrao Adsul will be among the speakers. &ldquo;These are leaders who have worked with Balasaheb and are Shiv Sainiks. Shiv Sena leaders will address the rally and the main speaker will be CM Eknath Shinde. We are expecting a full house. There have been rare instances in the past when other party leaders have attended a rally and spoken there, but this time only Sena leaders will speak,&rdquo; Pawaskar said.</p>

<p id="2">&ldquo;It was expected that there would be no big non-Sena leaders at the rally. It would send a message that the Shinde faction needed support to get a full house. They will ensure that the focus remains on Shinde and is not overshadowed by any BJP or MNS leader. If the rally turns out to be a full house, then it will be seen that the Shinde faction has the ground support to back its claim of being the real Shiv Sena,&rdquo; said a political observer.</p>
<p id="3">Shinde visited the MMRDA grounds on Sunday and on Monday to oversee preparations. Pawaskar said the Shinde faction had created time slots starting early Wednesday morning for buses to enter the city carrying supporters so that there is less congestion on the roads and all Sena workers are able to reach the venue in time.</p>
