EAM: West must live with India's stand on Ukraine

New Delhi: India has taken a bigger, longer and more serious view of the Ukraine war, and the outcome of the Bali G20 summit has borne out the correctness of PM Modi’s judgment on the issue, foreign minister S Jaishankar said at the Times Now Summit.

Jaishankar slammed the West again for complaining about India’s position, saying they must live with it just as India lived with differences with them on issues related to Pakistan and Afghanistan. “Tough luck if it doesn’t meet your expectations,” he said.

On criticism by the opposition that Modi had not been tough on China, the minister said the PM had been firm and very clear in his actions on the issue. He described as an enormous enterprise India’s military deployment at the border and improvement in infrastructure for countering China’s aggression.
