Urges CM To Refrain From ‘Publicising Issues Prematurely’
Gaadi-off file not cleared, LG says no proof it fights bad air

New Delhi: In a sign of escalating animosity between him and the state government, lieutenant governor VK Saxena asked chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday to reconsider the proposal to launch the ‘Red Light On, Gaadi Off ’ campaign, saying there was nothing on the file to prove putting off the car engines at traffic lights was effective against air pollution.

Referring also to environment minister Gopal Rai’s accusations that he “withheld” the campaign file, thus delaying its launch, Saxena urged the CM to refrain from “publicising issues prematurely” and making “political allegations” to ensure harmonious and constitutional functioning of the system of governance.
