New Delhi: Lieutenant governor VK Saxena has recommended initiation of disciplinary proceedings against IAS officer SM Ali for allegedly allowing “illegal resolutions” and “implementing” them during his tenure as chief executive officer of Delhi Waqf Board “at the behest” of the then chairman and Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan.
Ali has been accused by the Central Bureau of Investigation of indulging in “acts of omission and commission”, including not opposing the illegal resolution passed by the board for the appointment of a new CEO and several other contractual staff in “blatant disregard” of his responsibilities.
