New Delhi: Travelling in autorickshaws and taxis in the capital is set to become costlier. On the recommendations of the fare revision committee set up in April this year, Delhi government has approved the revision of the fares of autorickshaws, economy radio taxis and the kaali-peeli (black and yellow) cabs.
While the base fare of the cabs both air-conditioned and non-AC has risen steeply with an almost 25% rise in the per-kilometre charge, the base fare of autorickshaws has been increased by 20% and the per-kilometre fare by almost 16%.
