<p><strong>New Delhi:&nbsp;</strong>With the theme of &lsquo;Vocal for Local, Local to Global&rsquo;, the India International Trade Fair (IITF) is set to expand its reach this year with participation of more states and the event covering a much larger area than last year.</p>

<p id="2">This time, 29 states and Union territories, including Ladakh, are taking part in the fair, which will be held from November 14 to 27.</p>
<p id="3">According to officials of Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), which is organising the mega event, more than 10 lakh people are expected to attend the trade fair.</p>
<p id="4">The trade fair will be inaugurated by Union minister of commerce and industries Piyush Goyal on November 14. It will open to the general public from November 19 as the first five days of the fair have been reserved for business-to-business (B2B) exhibitors.</p>
<p id="5">On weekends, a ticket for an adult will be Rs 500 on business&nbsp;days and Rs 150 on non-business days. On weekdays, the ticket is Rs 500 on business days and Rs 80 on non-business days.</p>

<p id="2">Meanwhile, preparations at ITPO are in full swing with lastminute touches being given to the huge halls that have been constructed recently. So far, more than 2,500 participants have already booked space in the exhibition halls, spread over an&nbsp;area of about 73,000sqm.</p>
<p>With an aim to showcase achievements of various public sector undertakings and government bodies, this year the &lsquo;focus states&rsquo; are UP and Kerala. In 2021, the states in focus were UP and Jharkhand.</p>

<p id="3">There will be a special pavilion about the theme, ministries and departments. In a shift from the past strategy of&nbsp;having a special Delhi pavilion separately, all states and UTs will have one at a hall.</p>

<p id="2">According to ITPO, the number of foreign countries taking part has gone up this year from nine to 12. The participants include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Belarus, Iran, Nepal, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE and the UK.</p>
<p id="3">The trade fair is expected to provide a good revenue to the ITPO. An amount of Rs 24 lakhs, plus GST, will be given by the &lsquo;focus states&rsquo; for an area of 500sqm. Two amphitheatres are available for the exhibitors to showcase cultural activities by the states.</p>
<p id="4">A total of 36 central ministries and bodies, including Khadi and Village Industries Commission, the income-tax department, DGTS (customs and excise), ministry of Ayush, Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Ltd, National Jute Board and National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&amp;PR), among others, will have a presence at the fair.</p>
