Jack reveals his favourite Canon RF-mount lens for his stunning landscape and nature photography
Jack Lodge

AP: Tell us about your photography background
JL: My passion for photography began in 2014 while studying architecture at university. I bought my first camera, a Canon EOS 100D, along with a little 40mm pancake prime. Fast forward nine years and I quit my day job to follow my love of landscape photography full-time, carrying out commissions, selling prints, and running workshops and tuition across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. Photography to me is my flow state, something I enjoy so much that I get lost amongst the landscape, forgetting everything that’s going on in life and focusing solely on capturing the change of seasons to share with others. I’m a firm believer in what I like to call ‘The Landscape Photography Process’ which I break down into Planning, Photographing, Processing and Printing. Anyone that knows or follows me will know that my focus each year is capturing the change of seasons – something I am passionate about and keeps me motivated to get outside all year round.

AP: What do you carry in your camera bag?
JL: My camera bag is from f-stop, whom I am excited to represent as a brand ambassador, and my current go-to is the Tilopa Dura Diamond and Large ICU. Inside you’ll find my two camera bodies – the Canon EOS R5, and my backup crop-sensor EOS R10 (which may soon be replaced by the R7 for its weather-sealing).
