Thurman Jackson's - '51 Ford Deluxe

I was a member of Independence C.C., and I had a 1971 Chevy pickup truck with airbag fender skirts, a big engine, white on white with black and white houndstooth interior! Super clean truck!

I decided once I joined this car club that I wanted a 51 Ford deluxe. My Car Club and I looked on Craigslist and found one south of San Antonio Texas. We drove there with the trailer to pick the car up, and the guy was very cool, very eccentric, and we chopped it up with him for several hours before even putting the car on the trailer. The car was super clean, very little rust all had all of the parts, and wasn't missing anything. We loaded up the trailer and headed back to Austin Texas. When we got back, we were missing all the hubcaps. Once we got the car back to Austin me and a couple of buddies of mine immediately went to work on it! Working on the electrical, getting the car running, and checking the engine out. We finally got the car running, it was pretty rough to say the least, but looked cool with the rust Patina and pale bluish paint that was on there from the factory.
