How to play the chip-and-run

1 I like to play it with either an 8-iron or a pitching wedge and I’d recommend sticking to two clubs so you have a nice awareness of what each club will do. From a decent lie, some base measurements of a typical carry-to-roll ratio will be 25% in the air and 75% on the floor with your 8-iron and a 50/50 split with your pitching wedge. It’s a very safe shot to play because there is less of a golf swing required and less loft, so fewer things can go wrong.
