Zebra putters from £159.99
Golf Monthly|August 2022
The original Zebra mallet putter was first introduced in 1976 and enjoyed immediate success in the hands of Raymond Floyd, who won The Masters that same year.

Visually, it stood out, with its parallel elongated black stripes set around a central white stripe to create an eye-catching and effective alignment aid. Fast forward to 1994, and the Zebra tasted Major success at the Open Championship, when Nick Price was victorious at Turnberry.

The brand has been on an extended hiatus since then but is back with a bang in 2022 thanks to a complete redesign. Integral to the relaunch has been Austie Rollinson, Odyssey’s long-serving putter guru, who consulted on the designs with the aim of creating the ideal balance between alignment, forgiveness, weighting, feel and roll.

The new range comprises four models, the AIT 1, AIT 2, AIT 3 and AIT 4, all of which leverage the design heritage by keeping the bold Zebra alignment feature. There are three easy-to-aim mallets featuring a rounded profile, fangs or a golf ball alignment circle respectively, along with a more traditional, wide-body blade.
