That is not exactly thrilling viewing for fans, but it is also not the worst things have been in recent seasons. Whether that number picks up to the end of the campaign we will have to see, but we could also be in for a record low in South Africa's top flight.
Recent seasons have not been filled with goals, as defences become tighter and strikers lose their scoring boots.
There were two dozen more goals scored over 240 games in the DStv Premiership last season compared to the year before, but it was still among the lowest returns ever seen from a 30-game campaign.
