The 20-year-old had a host of suitors to borrow him from Fulham, but has decided that St Andrew's is the best place to hone his game.
Stansfield, son of the late Adam, was snapped up by Fulham from Exeter in 2019 and spent the bulk of last season back on loan at the Grecians.
He netted nine League One goals for Exeter and now has the chance to play a further rung higher in the EFL.
