He stepped up to the Championship with Rotherham in October last year and kept the Millers in the division last term, but was sacked last month with the club in the relegation zone.
Bristol Rovers dispensed with the services of boss Joey Barton in late October, paving the way for Taylor to make a quick return to the dugout.
