Bielik's words are own goal for Blues

We were winning every week, scoring loads of goals. We had guys like Bobby Zamora, who went on to play for England and spent a decade in the Premier League.

It was obvious to me - and probably to everybody else - that we were a cut above the level we were playing at.

But thinking it and saying it are two very different things, which is why Krystian Bielik should have been a bit more circumspect about coming out and saying that Birmingham are too good for League One.

“In six months time we’ll be a Championship team,” said the Poland international.

“We stay humble and keep our feet on the ground and we don’t want to choke on it. But the reality is we’re too good for League One.”

Confidence If I was Chris Davies, the Birmingham boss, I’d have been calling him into the office the next day and saying ‘What are you playing at?’.
