After going a goal down through a Krystian Bielik own-goal, goals from Alfie May, Luke Harris and Willum Willumsson gave the visitors victory despite Sam Vokes’ 90th-minute consolation.
“We played well and I thought we were the better team by some margin. I think 3-2 doesn’t reflect the game that clearly,” Davies commented.
“I thought we were good throughout generally. We did concede against the run play, and a frustrating goal from our point of view, as it was on the counter-attack in the first half.
“But I think what’s pleasing for me is that we got ourselves back in the game and we continued to play. We continued to show discipline and that’s important for me.
“We were strong in the second half as well. We had obviously two more goals we could have scored a couple more.”
