Defender Dean Lewington, 39, broke the record for most Football League appearances for one club when he played his 771st game for MK Dons against Colchester.
The day ended on a high note for the Dons as Ellis Harrison scored the only goal in the 89th-minute of the League Two clash. Long-serving club Lewington captain overtook John Trollope, who made 770 appearances for Town Swindon between 1960 and 1980.
