EUSTACE SO PLEASED AS SUBS TRIO BASH RAMS

Rovers took a 19th-minute lead through Tyrhys Dolan, before debutants Andreas Weimann and Yuki Ohashi, either side of Sammie Szmodics, all notched after coming off the substitutes’ bench after 65 minutes.

Rams defender Curtis Nelson had levelled matters, before Kane Wilson struck a consolation late on.

It was an almost faultless night for the hosts and Eustace was pleased with the impact his subs had.

He said: “I thought we were very good for the first 30 minutes. I was really pleased with the way we set the tone with how we wanted to play.

“The last 15 minutes, there were a few tired legs and we dropped off a little and defended well when we had to.

“It was always a plan to make changes after 60 minutes to get the emphasis and energy back in the team and I thought we did that.
