NORWOOD CAPTURE IS COUP FOR CHALLINOR

The 33-year-old spent six years with Sheffield United, twice winning promotion to the Premier League. He was released by the Blades after featuring 27 times for them in the top flight last term.

He had previously also won promotion to the Premier League with Brighton and Fulham, and played more than 50 times for Northern Ireland.

Norwood had been on trial at County in recent weeks, featuring in the pre-season friendly against Blackburn at Edgeley Park. He has now penned a three-year deal.
