IT SAYS a lot about the impact of Omari Hutchinson that he’s scooped the coveted Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award having only started two games in February!

OMARI SNAPS UP TOP PRIZE

The 20-year-old winger picked up assists in the two games he began – and weighed in with three goals off the bench.

Remarkably, all three came in injury time at Portman Road. The first earned a point in a 2-2 draw against West Brom, the second gave the Tractor Boys a dramatic 4-3 success against Rotherham and the third wrapped up a 3-1 victory against Birmingham.

“I’m very happy, this is my first award in men’s football so I’m grateful,” said the Chelsea loanee, right. “There’s a lot of players that could have won it, a lot of top talent but I was happy to be chosen. Everyone has helped me on the journey. This is my first season in men’s football, so I didn’t know what to expect. I think this season so far has been successful and to be playing in front of the Ipswich fans week in, week out is a dream come true.”
